Introduction

The purpose of this guide is to support the navigation of Deafverse, World Two: Revenge of the Deep with visual descriptions and transcripts. The guide’s format is guided by the Table of Contents (ToC) on the right. The ToC will change as you scroll down through the Accessibility Guide to serve you links relevant to the section you’re browsing at any time. Every other section in this guide will start with a short blurb describing the purpose of the section, where they will appear in the game, and will be followed by images, alt text summarizing the images, full visual descriptions and/or transcripts as needed.

Narrator

This section provides the visual descriptions of the Deafverse Narrator, the outfits they wear, and the types of narration these outfits indicate in World Two: Revenge of the Deep. Images, their alt text and full descriptions are below.

Justin (narrator) in two outfits:

Beach
Night-Time
A moon-lit beach.
Description: The moon is shining high in the sky on a cloudy night. Small ocean waves are hitting the beach. An interesting purple tree with three long branches coiled up at their ends is to your right. Description Note: If you make certain choices in the game, a cart full of light-up toys and accessories will be parked on the beach on the left side or rocks with kelp in the middle will be on the right.
Day-Time
A sun-lit beach.
Description: The sun is shining high in the sky with puffy white clouds floating by. Small ocean waves are hitting the beach. An interesting purple tree with three long branches coiled up at their ends is to your right.
Lifeguard Tower
Exterior
A lifeguard tower overlooks the beach.
Description: You’re in front of the beach and looking at the Lifeguard Tower. It sits on four pillars with a ramp. A footpath snakes to the left from the ramp into the horizon. A stop sign can be seen at the end of the footpath. There’s a grassy field beyond the beach with various plants and trees. The day is bright with a clear blue sky. Description Note: After reaching a certain point in the story, a lifeguard boat will be parked on the beach to the left of the Lifeguard Tower. The lifeguard boat is white with a red stripe all around the boat. Text on the exterior of the boat: “GUARD”. A light is mounted on the front of the boat. A stretcher is attached to the inside of the boat.
Interior
The interior room of the Lifeguard Tower.
Description: You’ve just entered the Tower through the door on the right side and are now surveying the room. Three pictures of people are affixed to the wall next to the door. As you move to your left, you pass a rescue tube, a first aid kit and a set of keys. Above the rescue tube is a map of Vine Island. Windows provide you with views of the beach and a grassy field. A red bottle, a red pen, a notepad, and a binocular is set on the counter under the window. It looks like a nice, peaceful day outside.
Viewing Platform
The viewing platform on the Lifeguard Tower. It’s a nice day outside!
Description: You approach the green railing on the tower platform overlooking the beach. The ocean shimmers with waves on the horizon. The sky is blue and dotted with few fluffy clouds. Kelp, starfish, trees, and a fallen log decorate the beach.
Town Center
Traveling
Vine Island’s dazzling Town Center.
Description: You’re crossing a wide street that connects to a roundabout in the Town Center. A small park is the center of the roundabout. Multi-colored buildings, built in various shapes and decorated with all kinds of plants, border the streets. Accessible ramps and streetlights are placed throughout the streets. A houseboat and a glassy building are on grassy hills beyond the town on the ends of their own cul-de-sacs.
Rita's Cafe
Exterior
Rita’s Cafe, an interesting restaurant and a houseboat, is perched on a cliff.
Description: You approach a giant houseboat overlooking the ocean on top of a cliffside. The house is accented pink and marked with cursive text near the roof: “Rita’s”. A pink flag, with an abstract logo that looks like two hands holding a bunch of salad leaves shaped like a green heart, dances in the wind on the top of the house. You remember the same logo from passing the painted logo on the stern of the boat on the way in. The deck is full of dining tables, chairs, and lights. Two pink doors with porthole windows welcome you to Rita’s Cafe. The sky is crystal blue and dotted with stars.
Interior

Description: You’re in the entrance of Rita’s Cafe in front of a counter, surrounded by latticed turquoise seats. The houseboat’s walls divide the indoor dining room and the deck. On the left wall is a bulletin board with posters and newspaper clippings. Newspaper clipping text: “THE MYTH IS REAL! Bulletin Board

Deck

The ocean is in the background with a cliffside, with its own guardrail, overlooking it. A ramp leads to the cliffside and is where people can dive into the ocean from. The sun is setting and coating the sky with a pinkish golden hue.
Docks
The docks of Vine Island.
Description: You’re about to get on the docks, a series of interlocking wooden platforms on the coast. They are totally empty except for a lonely cruiser ship parked next to the rightmost end. The sun is shining in a blue sky.
Milo's Boat
Milo’s boat cruising through the ocean.

Description: You’re in a red boat ripping through the ocean and looking back at the rear of the boat. From the left to right: a leather seat with a GPS device pinging for the Kraken, a handle for you to steer the engine with, a coil of rope, an ice chest, and a plunger-like tool, labelled “MILO-TOOL”. A red balloon and a red flag with Milo’s widely grinning face on it are both flying on a flagpole on the edge of the boat.

Description Note: As you navigate the oceans with Milo in his boat through the chapter, fog may appear and obscure visibility of the horizon. Also, the island may appear in the background with the docks as the most identifiable landmark.

Vine Island Museum
Exterior
The glittering Vine Island Museum.
Description: You’re approaching a curved glass building that sits on a cul-de-sac. The glassed face is full of windowed arches reflecting sunshine all at once. Various exhibits are visible through the entrance. The secondary building, attached to the main building’s left side, is made of bricks and framed windows.
Interior, Front
The interior of the Museum.
Description: You’re surveying the vast lobby of Vine Island Museum. Near the ceiling is the Museum logo, a V prominently standing in a M with the right side looking like an I. Text next to the logo: “VINE ISLAND MUSEUM”. The sun shines gently through the windows. Posters advertising admission and information and a counter is to your right. A banner hangs with the text: “CURRENT EXHIBITION: HALL OF HEROES”. Three people are displayed on the banner, from left to right: a Brown woman with a pink bandanna around her head about to strike with her harpoon, a Black woman in pink navy regalia staring forward with a monocular telescope in her hand and a Black man curiously inspecting a glowing teal-colored test tube. Map Room
The Museum’s Map Room.
Description: A hologram glows in front of you. A touchscreen display, with buttons for you to adjust the hologram with, is to your left. The hologram is presenting a topographical view of a spotlighted Vine Island with the lighthouse also highlighted next to it. On your right, the hologram pinpoints Vine Island’s location on the planet as a close-up of Vine Island is popping out of it.
KelpCo Exhibit
The Museum’s KelpCo Exhibit.

Description: You enter The KelpCo exhibit, a green-walled room with a floor-to-ceiling statue of kelp to your right. Near the ceiling is the KelpCo logo, text: “KELP” in green and “CO”, in orange, buoyed by kelp. The television plays a video of smiling KelpCo employees handling kelp and kelp bulbs. Closed captions flashes: “KelpCo created a safe and sustainable method of fishing invaluable kelp bulbs.” Two pictures, below the television, are of KelpCo employees holding up kelp together and a KelpCo scientist in a blue hijab holding up a glowing lime green test tube. Under that is a visualization of KelpCo’s supply chain: kelp is harvested by a trawler; kelp is liquefied; the liquid kelp is bottled up; finally, kelp is sent all over the world.

Fossil Exhibit
The Museum’s Fossil Exhibit.
Description: You’re in the Fossil Exhibit, a room with walls patterned like the layers of soil. A large painting of the Kraken attacking a sailing ship in a rough sea hangs on the wall. Lined up under the painting is an ancient drawing of the Kraken, a video of a person translating an ancient text into sign language, and an evolutionary lineage of the Kraken and the human. On the right is a large display of fossils discovered on Vine Island, two more fossils and a visual comparison of the sizes of a gigantic Kraken-like creature and the average human. Braille, text, and a video of a sign language narrator expands on the exhibit.
Hall of Heroes
The Museum’s Hall of Heroes.
Description: You’re in The Hall of Heroes, a grand hall. Golden rays glint through the glass ceiling, coating the hall in sunshine. Fluffy clouds hover above in the baby blue sky. On the right side is a row of three golden statues, from the front to the back: a woman in navy regalia holding up a monocular telescope with a dog next to her, a woman about to strike with a pincer-like harpoon, and a man in an elegant coat inspecting something in his hand. Diagrams, infographics, and explanations are displayed on the back wall. Paintings are on the left side, opposite from the statues, along with the Heroes’ equipment, their respective instructive texts, braille plaques and videos of sign language narrators.
Captain Statue

Harpooner Statue

Scientist Statue
The statue of Seymour the Scientist in the Hall of Heroes.
Description: You’re studying a golden statue of Seymour the Scientist, a Black man inspecting a glowing science flask in his right hand with curiosity. He has ring earrings, a neck scarf fastened with a metallic band, a buttonless long coat decorated with golden loops on his shoulders and tips, a pen and a notepad in his left coat pocket, a belt with the infinity symbol on it, a set of keys hooked to his belt, pants, and boots fastened with buckles on top. To the left of the statue is a painting of Seymour realizing a discovery in his laboratory. Below the painting is a showcase of his laboratory equipment that processes liquid from kelp orbs to render it usable. Instructive text, a braille plaque, and a video of a sign language narrator expands on the showcase.
Boardwalk
Overview
Vine Island’s busy boardwalk.
Description: You’re on the boardwalk, a wooden platform overlooking the beach. Shops and restaurants line the left side of the boardwalk. From the left to right: an arcade with various gaming machines, a surf shop full of colorful surfboards, umbrellas, various swimming items, and an advertisement for a sale, and an ice cream shop named “Yum’s”. There’s a slight ocean breeze and you can smell fried desserts there and here.
Interior
The interior of the Arcade on the Boardwalk.
Description: You come into the Arcade from the Boardwalk. It’s dark and illuminated only by the machines. The carpet is faded pink and patterned with abstract yellow stars, squiggly lines, and triangles. Neon lights stripe the walls. A neon sign flashes retro-style text in blue and pink: “V. R.” in the top left corner. A cluster of neon pink, blue, and yellow stars take turns twinkling in the opposite corner. The machines from left to right: “Object!”, displaying anthropomorphic characters arguing with each other; “KUBY”, with a yellow blob-like character sucking air; a harvesting kelp-themed Whac-a-Mole variation; an octagon for you to play Virtual Reality games in; a game featuring a giant sea turtle and a human swimmer; “KRAKEN INVADER” where you must fend off the Kraken; and a basketball shooting game. An office door is on the wall in the background with VR headsets mounted next to it.
Fortune Teller
The fortune teller machine in the Arcade.
Description: You pass through the Arcade door into a darkened room illuminated only by candles and the fortune teller machine on the right. The machine’s banner reads: “Scylla Tells-All”. Scylla is a mermaid sitting on a treasure chest with a shining golden orb floating above their right finned hand. Their long, flowing hair is held back with a bandanna with a star on it. They are wearing a neck shawl across their chest, arm rings, and a golden bracelet on their right wrist. Seahorses, starfish and the remains of a ship are all around them. On the bottom of the machine is a deposit for your tokens with the text: “YOUR FORTUNE” pointing at the deposit. To the left of the machine is a humble wooden desk with a journal and a mug holding pens. Purple curtains cover the wall in the back.
Virtual Reality
The virtual reality world in the Arcade.

Description: You appear to be in a reality entirely separate from the world. Glowing blue and purple lines run parallel and intersect each other, creating a grid continuing into the horizon as far as the eye can see. The atmosphere is purplish-blue.

Description Note: This description changes if you decide to play either game in the Virtual Reality Arcade. The options are BOTCRAFT and DST CRISIS. Selecting BOTCRAFT will add a virtual building made of glowing blue and purple squares stacked on top of each other with a space in the middle on the right side of the Virtual Reality Arcade.

Selecting DST CRISIS will add a glowing pink clock with two hands on the right side of the Virtual Reality Arcade. The short hand is about to point at 9 o’clock. The long hand is nearly pointing at 2 o’clock.

Mountain
Base
The base of the mountain on Vine Island.
Description: You move along on a long dirt path through a forest full of trees and plants in all sorts of colors and shapes. Sunshine glints through the tree cover. Strange squirrel-like creatures scurry into a tree to snuggle together. A purple-pink vulture with three tails nests in a barren tree. A deer-like creature with wings is barely visible at the top. The dirt path curves around a small drop-off with a large rock at its side.
Cliff
The mountain cliff. The view of the ocean and the lighthouse is quite nice!

Description: You’re on a footpath, lined with a guardrail, on the side of the mountain overlooking the ocean. Bushes punctuate the sides. The left side is a steep bank to the top of the mountain. A lighthouse, with a giant gear on its side and standing on rocks, is visible on the horizon. The sun is golden and radiant.

Description Note: The night-time version of the scene is the same, except it is a dark, cloudy night. The lighthouse is alight and casting two beams in the opposite directions.

KelpCo HQ
Exterior
The KelpCo headquarters on Vine Island.
Description: The KelpCo headquarters is a bricked building covered in bright yellow windows with a giant neon sign on top, text: “KELP” in green and “CO” in yellow buoyed by kelp. The summit towers above the building. Two giant gears are on the building’s right side. The bottom one is turned by a nearby stream that runs under the path of the entrance. You approach the headquarters and cross the stream. You notice that the footpath ends in a circle around the stream, making a natural pond that you can admire the fish in. The twin doors, flanked with lighted columns and covered with scaffolding, beckons you. Description Note: The night-time version of this description is the same, except it is night-time and the moon is barely visible in the top right corner. Everything is coated in darkness. The bright yellow windows contrast the scene even more sharply.
Front Lobby
The lobby in the KelpCo headquarters.
Description: The reception desk welcomes you to the lobby. A large aquarium is enclosed in a brick wall behind it. The aquarium contains fish, eels, ocean foliage, and a miniature replica of the lighthouse. You pass over a carpet with an intricate pattern of kelp. Small aquariums are built into the wall to your right. Pipes are connected from the aquariums to elsewhere. You spot a bowl of delicious candy on the desk. To the left of the desk is a waiting area stocked with potted plants, cushy chairs, and a table with pamphlets about the corporation.
CEO's Office
The KelpCo CEO’s office.
Description: You enter the CEO’s office. Beige walls surround you. A large, ornate desk takes up the most space in the office. Set on it is: a computer, two thick books, a notepad, a stress ball and a nameplate announcing the CEO’s name in text: “FOGBANE”. Behind the desk is an executive chair contrasted by a hard chair with wooden arms on the opposite side. A golf bag full of clubs rests in the corner. A chart and several accolades and certificates are prominently displayed above the desk. A window offers a glimpse of the mountains and ocean just as the sun is setting.
Lighthouse
Ocean, Night-Time
A stormy ocean. Only the lighthouse is clearly visible.
Description: It is a dark, stormy night with lightning on the horizon. The sea is rocky and precarious. The lighthouse is posted on rocks with its lights illuminating in opposite directions.
In Boat, Approaching Lighthouse, Far Away
Speedboat speeding through the tumultuous ocean towards the Lighthouse.
Description: You’re in a speedboat ripping through the waves towards the lighthouse on the rocks as the night storms on. The sea is illuminated by lightning in brief flashes. The lighthouse’s light is sending off beams of light. The speedboat’s window is tinted teal. On the dashboard, there’s a steering wheel, various gauges, the ignition is keyed in and the accelerator stick pushed to the max. Description Note: Progressing further in the story will change the above description to reposition the boat next to the lighthouse. Up close, there is a set of stairs and handrails leading up to a door with a steering wheel on it. The door and the rails are colored red. A lone lamp illuminates the doorway. Huge rocks surround the lighthouse with waves crashing into them.
Interior
The interior of the Lighthouse.
Description: A colossal light, with special lenses, rotates in the middle of the room while sending off beams of light in opposite directions. Windows all around are floor-to-ceiling high, decorated with arches at the top, and tumultuous seas border the horizon beyond. You notice that the lightbulb is connected to a system of gears and cogs. A cabinet door is left open at the bottom, revealing a power panel with wires and a note.
Mecha-Kat, Cockpit
The cockpit of Mecha-Kat.
Description: A massive seat is in front of you. The seat has green cushions, a thick oval-shaped headrest with teal cat ears. In the middle of the headrest is a visual design resembling an eye with a golden pupil and a teal iris. Three lines lead out to golden orbs from the headrest. A display is attached to the seat’s left arm. A control stick is on the right arm. A hologram is above the display and is projecting a topographical map of Vine Island. A set of massive metallic sliding doors is behind the seat.
Underwater
Underwater in the ocean.
Description: Enormous strands of kelp dance softly in the undercurrent on the ocean bottom. Glowing golden orbs bobs on the strands of kelp there and here. Moonlight gleams softly through the watery depth, illuminating the ocean dust and tiny creatures.
Ending
Kraken's Belly
The interior of the Kraken.
Description: You’re in an enclosure slowly filling with water. A red alarm is blaring on a mainframe with various gauges and a golden-balled stick. The mainframe is cracked and smoking. A hose connected to it is bursting with smoke. Disconnected electrical wires, strewn along the interior walls, are emitting sparks.
Beach with Kraken
The Kraken washed up on the moon-lit beach.
Description: The Kraken is washed up on the beach, all four limbs and its esca slackened. The Kraken’s eyes are dull. It appears to be dead. The moon is high and shining in the night sky with clouds there and here. The lighthouse is on the horizon with its lights turned off. Description Note: If you make certain choices in the game, the Kraken will wash up on the beach as a massive deactivated robot. Its body will be broken and cracked throughout, revealing wires, gears, and other metallic parts. The Kraken’s robotic body will smoke into the night.

Characters

This section provides an overview of every character found in World Two: Revenge of the Deep and their visual descriptions. Player
Description: You… with just one slight modification! Your arms and hands are glowing blue holograms with Kat, a robotic watch with a catlike face, on your left wrist.
Kat
Kat, your robotic sidekick!
Description: Kat is a robotic watch with a catlike face. Kat is mostly grey, with its left ear colored teal, and its eyes are yellow and sleek with two black dots as their eyebrows. Two yellow bulbs are connected to antennas on Kat’s ears. Metallic hands and arms are connected to its face. Kat is attached to a metallic handle with a yellow circle in its center. Kat is waving at you!
Luca
Luca the Lifeguard is running!
Description: Luca is a tall person with tan skin and wearing a white shirt with red text on it: “GUARD”. They’re also wearing black shorts and purple sandals. Their hair is shaved on one side, combed over to the other side, and scrunched up in a ponytail. They’ve got sunglasses with a purple frame on their head, purple swimming goggles on their shoulder, and a red-colored rescue tube in hand. White text on the tube: “GUARD” with two crosses sandwiching the word. Luca has just kicked off a sandal and is running!
Rita
Rita, the restaurateur, is directing your attention to something else!
Description: Rita is an old Black woman in a wheelchair. Her hair is curly and grey. Rita is wearing lipstick with a dark shade of reddish-purple. She is wearing a white top, a purple apron, pinkish-orange pleated pants, and dark purple sneakers. Her apron has the letter “R” on it, flanked by bright green hands above a white bowl in the center of it. Rita’s wheelchair’s frame is lime green. Rita is grinning while holding a spatula in her right hand and holding up her right thumb as if she’s motioning for you to come over.

The Backpack and Items

This section outlines the Backpack, how to navigate around it, and also provides visual descriptions for the badges, postcards, and comic pages found in the Backpack. Certain badges have certain versions that you can earn based on the choices you make in the game. Use the overview on the right to find the visual description for the collectible you want. Images, their alt text and full descriptions are below.

The Backpack Menu

Description: The Backpack has a dark background in the middle of the screen. In the top left corner is bold text: “BACKPACK”. Below the text is two buttons: “World 1” and “World 2”. Clicking either button will change the Backpack inventory to either World’s inventory. In the opposite corner from the bold text are two text buttons: “Back to Game” and “Back to Home”. The former button will bring you back to the game, while the latter will bring you to the World Select menu. The rest of the menu are collectibles divided into sections with two rows of ten icons: Badges, Photos, and Comic Pages.

Description Note: Every collectible will be locked when you first start a new playthrough. They will display as darkened icons with locks on them. As you play through the game, you will be able to unlock collectibles by making certain choices. Once unlocked, these collectibles will stay in your Backpack on subsequent playthroughs.

Badges

Portal Explorer

Description Note: You can unlock three different states of the Portal Explorer badge depending on the choices you make in the Introduction chapter. The badge is a blue circle with a glowing white outline. Different icons are displayed in its center.

Description: If you throw a rock at the Kraken… the badge icon is a rock being launched through it.

If you make the choice to rescue the boy from the kelp trap… the badge icon is strands of kelp being pulled out by a hologram-like hand.

If you make the choice to distract the Kraken with a glow-toy sword… the badge icon is a hologram-like hand holding a glow-toy sword in it. The sword has a purple handle and is colored green, orange, yellow from the bottom to the tip in that order.

Cafe Patron

Introduction Chapter - "The Kraken's Welcome"

Description:

Panel 1
You’re on a beach and it’s night-time. You’re looking at a watch on your left wrist that is part of your blue hologram-like arm. The watch has a catlike robot waving at you!

Panel 2
The Kraken, a massive sea monster, suddenly emerges out of the ocean on the horizon ready to attack! Kat is holding onto your wrist for dear life. There is a young boy trapped in kelp between rocks to your right. He has a red balloon attached to his left wrist for some inexplicable reason.

Panel 3
Description Note: This panel will be different based on choices you make in the game. There are three versions.

  1. If you make the choice to throw something at the Kraken… You see a rock on the sand and you go to pick it up. Kat looks excited!
  2. If you make the choice to rescue the boy… You run over to the boy trapped by the kelp in the rocks. You reach down to rip the kelp off of his right ankle. He quickly thanks you!
  3. If you make the choice to distract the Kraken… Kat is pointing at a cart full of glow toys, prompting you to run over to it!

Panel 4
Description Note: This panel will be different based on choices you make in the game. There are three versions.

  1. If you make the choice to throw something at the Kraken… You throw the rock with all of your might and nail the Kraken right on its forehead! The Kraken is jolted by the impact and this action buys time for the boy to break out of the kelp trapping him and escape. Kat is enduring your arm’s powerful movement.
  2. If you make the choice to rescue the boy… Now that the boy is free, he runs away from the Kraken while you hide in the rocks!
  3. If you make the choice to distract the Kraken… You pick up a glowing sherbet-like sword and swing it around. The Kraken sees you and becomes confused by your actions, buying time for the boy to free himself from the kelp trapping him and escape.

Panel 5
The Kraken changes its mind and departs the beach to disappear into the ocean. Now that they know it’s safe, people console each other on the beach. Some of them are taking pictures or standing in awe of the Kraken and its size. There’s a cart near the boardwalk full of glow toys.

Rita's Cafe Chapter - "Attack on Rita's Cafe"

Description:

Panel 1
You’re in Rita’s Cafe and surveying the scene. Rita is behind the counter and wiping it down. People are chattering and laughing. Some are watching someone about to dive from the cliffside opposite the restaurant. It’s sunny and peaceful.

Panel 2
A long, spindly claw dripping with water is reaching up into the air behind a young Black girl, fear creeping onto her face, who is about to notice it.

Panel 3
The Kraken reaches over the guardrailing on the side of Rita’s Cafe and causes a scene on the deck! People are running for their lives, spilling over everything in the process, and you’re there trying to organize the escape for safety!

Panel 4
Description Note: this panel will be different based on the choices you make in the game.

  1. If you make the choice to stay in the restaurant… You’re with a family trying to stay quiet behind the counter out of the Kraken’s sight. You have your hands out and you’re motioning for them to stay calm.
  2. If you make the choice to go out to confront the Kraken… You run out of the cafe and point at the Kraken as it breathes heavily, emitting powerful jets out of its nose.

Panel 5
Description Note: this panel will be different based on the outcome for the choices you make in the game.

  1. If your attempt to calm down the family succeeds… You peek from behind the counter and you see the Kraken deciding to leave the restaurant for the ocean.
  2. If your attempt to calm down the family fails… the Kraken notices the family and thrashes, causing more damage to the restaurant with its claws and giant light orb antenna.
  3. If your attempt to throw something at the Kraken succeeds… You throw a plate full of kelp delicacies at the Kraken. It licks its own face and excitedly catches the kelp with a bite!
  4. If your attempt to lasso the Kraken succeeds… You throw a loop and manage to catch it on the Kraken’s light orb antenna! The Kraken is taken aback and fights to get the rope off of itself.
  5. If your choice to go out and do something about the Kraken fails… The Kraken thrashes and causes more damage to the restaurant! You’re thrown back by the thrashing and black out.

Panel 6
A bird’s eye view of the cafe’s deck, the cliffside opposite from it, and the ocean below. The Kraken’s tail is submerging into the water. Tables are broken and flipped over everywhere. Utensils are all over on the deck.

Everyone’s collecting their breaths and decompressing from the scary, dangerous experience that they’ve just had.

Museum Chapter - "Visit at the Museum"

Panel 1
You approach the Vine Island Museum. The day is nice. There are people resting on the grass next to the Museum. To your right, a family of an older woman in a wheelchair, a young boy, and a woman are about to enter the Museum.

Panel 2
Starla is in the lobby conversing with you. You both introduce yourself to each other and you ask Starla questions about her life. She expands on her background and goals. She is using the sign for “study”.

Panel 3
You’re in the Hall of Heroes. All kinds of people are all around the hall enjoying the exhibit. Rays of sunshine brightens the hall and the showcases.

Panel 4
A hologram display glows with a topographical map of Vine Island and the lighthouse. A display is next to it with menus and buttons for you to manipulate the hologram display with. Kat looks on approvingly with a smile.

Panel 5
A video of KelpCo employees presenting a golden orb taken from the kelp plays in the exhibit. Above is the KelpCo logo. Below is a showcase of KelpCo and its various processes. Kat is surprised by what you both learn!

Panel 6
Kat motions for you to look at the fossil exhibit. The exhibit is full of images of various fossils, evolutionary lineages, and size comparisons.

Boardwalk Chapter - "Fun at the Boardwalk"

Description:

Panel 1
The arcade is busy with young people hanging out and playing games! The machines from left to right: a blue-colored machine displaying virtual characters arguing with each other titled “Object!”, a machine titled “KUBY” with a yellow blob-like character sucking air, a pink-colored machine displaying a game on harvesting kelp, an octagon for you to play Virtual Reality games in, a light blue colored machine with a giant turtle and a bird, a dark blue machine titled “KRAKEN INVADER” where you must fend off the Kraken, and a basketball shooting game.

Panel 2
Description Note: Panel 2 and Panel 3 will switch positions depending on the order of choices you make in the game.

  1. Choosing to play either game in the Arcade will result in the game coming first in the comic panel.
  2. If you choose to play DST Crisis first… People that look obviously virtual and sheen-like are hounding you in all kinds of ways! You must get through the pack to get to work on time!
  3. If you choose to play Botcraft first… You’re in the middle of a grid-like world. Glowing blue and purple lines run parallel and intersect each other to create grids that continue into the horizon. You’re holding in a pickaxe. You must find a way to get on your virtual co-worker’s good side so you can both start building blocks!

Panel 3
Same panels as above. The game you play after your first choice is displayed here.

Panel 4
A wise plump mermaid sits on a treasure chest with ship remains and fishes all around here on the ocean bottom all enclosed in this machine. Text on top: “Scylla Tells-All”. On the bottom is a deposit for you to insert tokens in for Scylla to tell your fortunes.

Panel 5
You’ve just had a disappointing encounter with the KelpCo employee named Chance. He is oblivious and ignorant. You’ve just told Maya about what happened, so Maya is motioning for Chance to come over so she can teach him about deaf people and deaf culture. People are all around them on the boardwalk buying ice cream, chatting, and enjoying the boardwalk on this sunny day.

Docks Chapter - "Day at the Docks"

Description:

Panel 1
Milo is in his boat and motioning for you to come over!

Panel 2
You’re in the boat, but visibility is limited due to the fog that has suddenly appeared out of nowhere on the ocean.

Panel 3

  1. If you made the choice to assist Milo by using the Milo-Tool, a plunger-like device, to bring back tracking orbs… You’re using both hands to grip the Milo-Tool!
  2. If you made the choice to assist Milo by using the GPS device to navigate the waters… You are now holding up the device and tracking dots with your left index finger.
  3. If you made the choice to assist Milo by driving the boat… You’re now holding the steering wheel. You’re ready to go!

Panel 4
A golden dragonfly-like ocean creature jumps out of the water and bites on the tracking orb. Milo is shocked and taken back by the unexpected appearance! You both now must work together to get the orb away from the creature.

Panel 5

  1. If your attempt to assist Milo succeeds… Milo now has the tracking orb in his hands and he is happy!
  2. If your attempt to assist Milo fails… you both don’t get the tracking orb out of the water and Milo is let down. He watches the ocean creature disappear into the horizon
KelpCo Chapter - "The KelpCo Interview"

Description:

Panel 1
You’re at the base of the mountain. Kat is signing J-O-B with its right hand and pointing up at the KelpCo headquarters at the top of the mountain towering above all. The sun is shining brightly to the left of the summit. A trail snakes from your feet to the headquarters, creating two switchbacks along the way. Trees, plants, and creatures, all unique to Vine Island, line the trail.

Description Note: The panel will be different based on the choices you make in the game. There are three versions.

  1. If you choose to use the sword… Kat has somehow transformed into a massive robot, just as big as Kraken, and now it has a sword in its right hand. Mecha-Kat and the Kraken, full of menacing energy, are about to meet on the turbulent sea while the storm is pouring and shooting off blasts of lightning! You’re in a pod, away from the battle that’s about to happen, and controlling Mecha-Kat.
  2. If you choose to use the shield… same scene as above, except Mecha-Kat has a massive shield in its hand.
  3. If you choose to use the laser… same scene as above, except Mecha-Kat’s right hand is now a laser cannon that’s charging up.
